Bottoms Up Gatherings is the name we use for our invitation website and event-update program. This policy explains how we handle information collected through the site and program.
Information we collect
When you RSVP or opt in to updates, we may collect your name, mobile number, email address, event interests, RSVP and contribution details, consent choice, consent date, and the source of that consent. We also receive messages you send to the number used for event notices or in response to an invitation.
How we use it
We use this information to manage private gathering invitations, RSVP and potluck planning, send requested event reminders and occasional event-day updates, respond to support requests, honor STOP/START preferences, and keep an accurate history of event participation.
SMS privacy
Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent is never sold.
Requested texts may include invitations, RSVP and potluck reminders, and occasional event-day updates. Message frequency varies by event. Guests may receive up to 4 planning messages per month, plus occasional event-day updates. Message and data rates may apply.
Your number may be processed by service providers that help us deliver requested messages, such as our hosting and messaging providers. Those providers may use your information only to provide services to us, maintain security, or comply with law.
Choices and retention
SMS consent is optional. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for assistance, or START/UNSTOP only to restore event updates for which you previously gave consent; these keywords do not enroll you for a new event. You may also contact us to request correction or deletion of information, subject to records we must retain for legal, safety, or event-history purposes.
