Program description
The Bottoms Up Gatherings SMS program sends opted-in guests invitation reminders, RSVP and potluck-planning prompts, and occasional event-day updates.
Frequency and rates
Message frequency varies by event. Guests may receive up to 4 planning messages per month, plus occasional event-day updates. Message and data rates may apply.
Your controls
Reply STOP to opt out. You will receive confirmation that no further recurring messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help. For SMS assistance, reply HELP to a Bottoms Up Gatherings text message or email eschaefs@gmail.com. The sender number is provided only in direct event communications, not on public event pages. Reply START or UNSTOP only to restore event updates for which you previously gave consent; these keywords do not enroll you for a new event.
Optional SMS enrollment
Text updates are optional. You do not need to provide a mobile number, enroll in SMS, or accept SMS terms to use this website, receive an invitation, RSVP, submit a potluck contribution, or attend an event. If you choose to enroll, you will provide a mobile number you control and separately confirm SMS consent for the specific event series through its opt-in flow. Consent is activated only after the required confirmation step. Declining SMS does not limit any non-text event service.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and SMS opt-in consent is never sold.
